Route & Ride — plan, assign, prove delivery
Delivery operations platform for multi-stop route planning, driver assignment, zone management, GPS tracking, and signature-based proof of delivery.

Context
The problem and my role
Problem
Delivery teams lose visibility once the day starts — routes live in one tool, drivers in another, and proof of delivery is a paper trail (or an afterthought).
Role
Built Route & Ride for customer delivery operations: optimize routes, execute rides, manage zones and orgs, and capture doorstep signatures with auditability.
Constraints
- Multi-stop optimization with real traffic/toll/travel-mode settings
- Org workspaces with shared destinations, drivers, and CSV import
- Zone-based operations with polygon geofences
- Proof of delivery via recipient name + signature
- Admin/billing for plans, subscriptions, and transactions
Execution
What I built
- Built route planning with departure time, traffic models, toll avoidance, travel mode, and units.
- Integrated Google Directions waypoint optimization for reordering stops (up to 25 intermediate stops).
- Modeled organizations with address books, drivers, slug-based workspaces, and CSV import.
- Added polygon zones and driver-to-zone assignment for clearer ops ownership.
- Implemented rides as executable assignments with stop states, progress tracking, and periodic GPS points.
- Required per-destination signatures for proof of delivery and platform admin/billing tooling.
Results
Outcomes
- Single workflow from plan → assign → execute → prove.
- Operational visibility during the day, not just at planning time.
- Live product at routenride.com with app access for planning pilots.

Operations, not just maps
Routing is necessary but insufficient — the product closes the loop with rides, zones, signatures, and tracking so teams can run the day and prove the delivery.
